What we do

Warranta is an independent home warranty comparison site. We review, rate, and compare home warranty companies so you can make an informed decision without wading through provider marketing copy or opaque contract fine print.

We cover plan tiers, monthly costs, service-call fees, annual coverage limits, contractor models (in-network vs. your-own-contractor), and state availability. Some providers we review have a public affiliate program or a direct-link arrangement, but that does not determine which providers we cover or how we score them.

Our editorial standards

• Source-backed ratings. Every rating and factual claim requires a citation from a credible source: official provider sample contracts, state insurance regulators, or established consumer press. Customer-sentiment summaries are synthesized from real third-party sources (BBB, Trustpilot, Yelp, Reddit) and always carry a source citation. We do not fabricate ratings or invent pricing data.
• No paid placements. A provider cannot pay to receive a higher rating, a “Best for” label, or a top-ranked position. Rankings reflect our methodology, not revenue.
• Honest about weaknesses. The home warranty industry has well-documented complaint patterns around claim denials and contractor disputes. We surface a provider's real weaknesses rather than whitewash them for affiliate dollars.
• Regular review. Provider records are reviewed every 90 days, or sooner when plans or pricing change materially. The Last updated date on each review is the date we last verified the data against primary sources.
• Not repair advice. Warranta covers warranty costs and coverage terms only. We do not provide appliance or system repair guidance, and we are not licensed insurance agents.
